Permanent Storage vs. Temporary Storage
Permanent Storage
Permanent storage is used for content you want to keep long-term. Content in permanent storage counts toward your workspace storage quota.
Permanent storage includes:
Saved projects
Forever saved does not have an 'expiry time'
Files in My Assets
Files in Brand Kit, including logos, images, videos, audio files, fonts, and outros
Projects saved to permanent storage will remain available as long as your workspace stays within the storage limits of your plan.
Temporary Storage
Projects that are not saved to permanent storage are considered temporary projects.
Temporary projects do not count toward your workspace storage quota, but they will expire after a set period.
Typical retention periods include:
Free plan: projects expire after 3 days
Creator plan: new projects that exceed the 50 GB storage quota expire after 28 days
Creator or Business users who downgrade to Free: affected projects expire after 28 days
If you see expires in xx days, it counts in temporary storage
Storage Limits by Plan
Free Plan
Free workspaces include 1 GB of storage.
Projects on the Free plan expire after 3 days. The 1 GB storage quota mainly applies to assets such as My Assets and Brand Kit files, if they were previously uploaded.
Creator Plan
Creator workspaces include 50 GB of storage.
Projects saved within the 50 GB quota are kept in permanent storage. If your workspace exceeds the 50 GB limit, new projects that are not saved to permanent storage will expire after 28 days.
Business / Team Plan
Business and legacy Team workspaces include unlimited storage.
Projects in these workspaces can be kept in permanent storage without a storage quota limit.
What Counts Toward Workspace Storage?
Workspace storage usage is calculated based on the following:
Original Videos
Original videos count toward storage based on their post-transcoding file size.
My Assets
Files uploaded to My Assets belong to your personal workspace and count toward your personal workspace storage.
Brand Kit Assets
Brand Kit assets count toward the workspace’s permanent storage quota.
This includes images, logos, fonts, outros, videos, and audio files.
Temporary projects do not count toward workspace storage.
