The subtitle editor provides a real-time preview of how your subtitles will appear on the video canvas. While our system automatically segments your transcript into timed subtitle lines, you can easily customize the pacing and layout using the formatting tools below.

If two consecutive lines would work better as a single subtitle, you can combine them.

How to do it: Hover your cursor in the space between the two subtitle blocks you wish to combine. Click the Merge button that appears.

To break a long subtitle line into two smaller, more readable segments:

How to do it: Click directly on the word where you want the break to occur. A toolbar will appear; click Split, or press Enter on your keyboard.

To insert a blank subtitle line:
